In January this year the Grandparents Association was invited to a reception at 10 Downing Street hosted by the Prime Minister’s wife Sarah Brown.
The minister for Children, Schools and Families, Minister Ed Balls was present and made a speech about the importance of Grandparents to children and family life. On the same day the Daily Express ran a two page article about Grandparents bringing up grandchildren.
