Bailey Review on the Commercialisation and Sexualisation of Childhood (Parents and carers version)
Parents and families express real concern about children being pressured into growing up too quickly. The Government shares that concern and has therefore made a commitment to take action to protect children from excessive commercialisation and premature sexualisation. Reg Bailey, Chief Executive of the Mothers' Union, is carrying out an Independent Review to address parents' concerns about the pressures on children to grow up too quickly. Reg is very keen to hear from parents on this issue and the questionnaire should take about 10 minutes to complete. The views submitted through this questionnaire will help him develop his recommendations which will be published in May. He has expressly said he would welcome the views of grandparents. The consultation is open until March 17th.
