Dear Sir
Government's response to the recommendations of the Family Justice Review
I read with interest, the Government's response to the recommendations of the Family Justice Review that were published on 6th February 2012.
I am delighted that the Government recognises the importance of grandparents in children's lives and will consider how parenting agreements can be used to ensure that contact with the wider family, post separation, will be maintained.
I am, however, disappointed that the Government has reneged on its 2010 manifesto when it promised that the requirement for grandparents to seek leave of the court in contact cases would be removed.
I look forward to hearing your response.
Yours sincerely
