This DfE consultation seeks the views of young people, parents, schools, colleges, work-based training providers and other stakeholders on the government's proposal to introduce 16-19 bursaries, providing financial support for young people in post-16 education or training in England. The consulation is seeking respondents' views on the transitional support the government intends to provide to 16 to 19 year olds currently receiving Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA), following the closure of that scheme at the end of the current academic year.
