relationship to flourish.
Our services include an advice and information line, welfare benefits advice, publications, support groups, and

Daily Mail Request
Femail, the women’s pages of the Daily Mail, are looking to talk to people about the distress felt over their children’s divorce and the subsequent effect on their relationship with their grandchildren.
This would involve an interview of about an hour ( which could be done over the telephone, if preferred) and photographs of themselves and their family We would in return be willing to pay a minimum fee of £500.

How many grandparents are there in the UK?
There are 14 million grandparents in the UK.
Is this a fixed figure?
No. The number of grandparents at any one time varies according to the age at which parents
give birth, rates of fertility, and the numbers who become parents.
Is there statistical information about grandparents routinely collected in the Census?
No, other than information about 'the number of grandparents residing in households with other family members.'
So how was the information for this web site obtained?
By drawing on and interrogating existing and specialised surveys as well as authoritative
published research studies accurate estimates can be produced.

The lawyers and firms listed are on the Law Society's Children Panel and the Family Panel lists and have the necessary expertise to deal with cases involving children, grandparent or other family members who may consult them. The Law Society is the regulatory and representative body for approximately 116,000 solicitors in England and Wales. Many of the firms on our list offer a FREE 20 MINUTES INITIAL INTERVIEW to our members, so become a member of The Grandparents' Association now!

The Lawyers' List
If 40% of all children in England and Wales are born to unmarried parents, if 1 in 6 cohabitants in opposite sex relationships are unmarried and if 80% of all births outside marriage are now registered, it is clear that a social revolution has overtaken England and Wales since the Second World War. It is also clear that in the event of a relationship breakdown existing agencies are struggling to satisfactorily cover the wide range of permutations resulting from the complexity of life today.
Can
you imagine how it must feel to be torn between the love you have
for your child and the love you have for your grandchild? Grandparents bringing up their grandchild sometimes have to make a difficult choice.
