We know that a special relationship can exist between grandchildren and grandparents and we are here to provide support to enable this relationship to flourish. Our services include a helpline, welfare benefits advice, publications, and support groups. We are actively recruiting new members and training volunteers to expand these services.  We hope that you find this website interesting and informative and that you will feel it appropriate to become a member of our organisation.

03.08.10 - Have your say Portsmouth is consulting with children, young people, parents, carers and providers to help them develop a ‘Play, Sport and Culture Strategy’ for children and young people.

Ann‘s daughter was addicted to drugs and now she is bringing up her granddaughter fulltime and she has another granddaughter who has been adopted.
Jackson Family - when Jane & Marc lost contact with their granddaughter The Grandparents' Association let them know that they are  not alone and offered support. With our help they now support others too as part of our network of support groups.
Little Family - after their granddaughter witnessed her mother being killed by her father in a domestic violence incident the Littles are bring up two grandchildren fulltime
Natalie is bringing up her grandson fulltime and juggling work, childcare, and emotions, and talks about the benefits of The Grandparents Association.

Keri is bringing up her twin granddaughters fulltime whilst two other grandchildren have been adopted.
