Holidays for Kinship Carers

Are you a kinship carer and available on Friday 2 July 2010 to take a holiday?

The Grandparents' Association has been in contact with an organisation that have got some fantastic caravan holidays to offer to grandparent carers who meet the criteria below and who live in the UK.

Each case is accessed but if you can answer yes to all of the questions below we will do our best to match you to a well deserved break.

Normally available in term dates and school holidays the organisation we use has placed over 1600 families in holidays last year 2009 and this year hopes to increase that figure to over 2000.

This is a new approach to helping families’ access days out and breaks as The Grandparents' Association has been appointed as one of a few welfare advisors for this organisation.

All enquires must be handled via the The Grandparents' Association hence the reason we can't say who the organisation is!

So
•    Have you got at least one child between 3 – 18 years old? (at the time of the holiday)

•    Are you on low income? (This isn’t a defined figure but if you receive benefits or are on 25k or less – please email Sue)

•    Was your last holiday over 4 years ago?

•    Would you be available to take the holiday on the week beginning 2 July?
