DO YOU NEED SOME LEGAL HELP?

Biscoes’ solicitors are experienced in supporting grandparents and they offer free ‘legal clinics’ :

Paulsgrove Community Centre, Second Wednesday in the month – 11.30 – 12.30

Landport Community Centre, Third Wednesday in the month – 14.30 – 15.30

Buckland Community Centre, First Tuesday in the month – 11.30 – 12.30

John Pounds Corner, Every Monday - 1 – 3pm

This firm has experience in family law issues with grandparents and you can access 20-30 mins of a solicitor’s time at these sessions.  They can offer some self help advice on how to take things forward or may be able to negotiate fixed fees for you if you would like them to act of your behalf.  

They will also offer a free half an hour interview in any of their offices at any time to discuss issues of applications.

WEEKLY GRANDPARENT & TODDLER GROUP
A weekly drop-in for grandparents and toddlers started on 5th November in Paulsgrove and this now runs weekly on Fridays from 10am to 12pm – all grandparents and under 5s welcome so please drop in for a cuppa and some fun activities for the kids in this informal group (Paulsgrove Children’s Centre – end of Cheltenham Rd, Portsmouth, PO6 3PL).

Group for grandparents denied contact with / having problems seeing their grandchildren

Grandparents who are denied contact with a grandchild/grandchildren or having problems seeing them are invited to join the new monthly group for grandparents in a similar situation – share information and get some support.  Ken, a local volunteer, will run the group with Louisa’s support at the Mountbatten Centre, Alexandra Park, Portsmouth, PO2 9QA from 1.30 – 3.30, Tues 17 April (and every 2nd Tuesday of the month).  Free parking and on bus routes 5 5A 6 6A 45, & 45A
