Welcome to all our support group leaders and members page.
In recent conversations with various groups, we were told that members would love to know more about what is going on in our organisation especially with regards to no contact. Well, we listened. We have introduced a new section for support groups called 'GPA support group update for No Contact Groups'. This can be printed from this web page and can be taken to your meetings. You can photocopy the printed page to circulated to your group members which is especially important when members have no online access.
During the year 2011-2012 we received 8,348 calls to our Information & Support Line. 3,501 of these calls represented contact calls

New Relationship Support Services for grandparents and their families
As a partner in a major new project funded by the Department for Education and headed up by Relate, we are now offering a range of new services to help grandparents and their families experiencing relationship problems. In particular we are focusing on:
As part of our new work on relationship problems, we are launching a range of specialised services so we can give you one to one support in a number of ways. We are using decades of experience of helping grandparents to offer these services, delivered by trained and experienced staff and volunteers, most of whom are grandparents. More...

New version of the Family Mediation Information and Assessment Form
Grandparents or any person who is looking to issue Family Proceedings will need to know there is a new version of the Family Mediation Information and Assessment Form (FM1).

HELP US FUNDRAISE!
We would just like to say a BIG thank you to the Solihull Support Group, who have raised £500 recently, by asking their local Lions for support for The Grandparents' Association. This donation will help the group promote the needs of members who cope with no contact.

Evening Helpline update: Unfortunately our Thursday evening sessions have stopped temporarily due to a shortage of evening helpline volunteers. If you would like to become a helpline volunteer, we would love to hear from you. Please call Grant on 01279 428040.
New Vice President
