As a grandparents (or family members and friends), where can you go when you need good quality specialist information on welfare benefits delivered by trained advisors?
The Grandparents' Association is the only organisation running a dedicate welfare benefits helpline which specialises in giving welfare advice together with small claims and family holidays for those in need.
The Grandparents' Association received over 1,000 referrals last reporting year from citizen advice bureau and other organisations as well as direct and has helped access over £301,331.08 for this reporting year 2012/13.
The welfare benefits advice line is an effective way of keeping kinshipcarers and grandparents up to date with welfare benefit claims and gives support for those in difficult or complex situations.
It is the Buttle UK's 60th anniversary this year.Their founder Frank Buttle, had a vison to 'launch 1,000 children and young people a year into life'. He died in 1953 leaving £1m with which Buttle UK was established.
